Our history
How pie launched us into marketing.
In 2016, our founder Josh Stockel discovered his passion for marketing while running a pie shop in South Texas. The shop's success was driven by strategic marketing, and it sparked his love for helping businesses grow.
The shop's most popular pie, blueberry, basil and goat cheese, was affectionately nicknamed “The Blue Goat.” That name stuck, and Blue Goat Marketing was born.
Today Blue Goat Land Leads is a specialized agency helping land clearing, excavation and demolition companies generate leads, book more jobs and scale. Over more than ten years we've worked with hundreds of contractors across the country and managed millions of dollars in ad spend.

Josh Stockel
Josh built Blue Goat Land Leads after watching land clearing and excavation contractors get burned by generalist agencies that treated a mulching job like a plumbing job. So he went all in on the dirt world: one niche, over a decade, hundreds of contractors scaled across the country.
Before Blue Goat he built and sold award-winning businesses, led high-performing teams, and served as President and CEO of a local Chamber of Commerce, working alongside hundreds of owners through real growth and real setbacks.
He hosts the Land It Podcast, wrote Land It in the Dirt World, and speaks at dirt-world events across the country.
